Wireworms are the larval stage of click beetles. They are an early season pest of corn and other field crops and feeds on seeds and seedlings.
Wireworms are yellow or orange in color and have a hard body. They spend their entire life underground.

Wireworms feed on seeds and seedlings, reducing stand and hence yield.
Seed-applied insecticides provide control of wireworms. Always read and follow all label instructions.
