This winter annual thrives in moist conditions and blooms in the early spring with beautiful yellow flowers.
Stems are thick and hollow with distinct red veins running the length of the stem.

Each plant produces multiple bunches each with several yellow flowers.

Cressleaf groundsel weeds emerge in the fall, and can be effectively controlled with either fall or early spring herbicides. Spring control is most effective before flowering, at which point the weed drops many of its lower leaves reducing absorption. Always read and follow all label instructions.
